Meet Our Team
DR. BRETT BEVANS
Dr. Bevans was born and raised in a small town in the southwest corner of Alberta. He spent his early youth on a dairy and cattle farm and his teenage years helping his parents raise cattle and ostriches. If he wasn’t working around the house, you could find him in the mountains around Waterton Lakes National Park, hiking and fishing. He also loved working with his hands, whether it was mechanics, woodworking, crafts or drawing.
After high school, Brett spent several years volunteering and working for a construction company, trying to save money to go to school. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he graduated from Dental School. Since then, he has worked in Lethbridge, Okotoks and Red Deer, Alberta, but fell in love with the Kootenays several years ago. The main attractions of Cranbrook were the outdoor paradise mixed with the small-town feel. A small city allows him to practice all aspects of dentistry.
Brett and his wife have four kids who keep them very busy with extra activities. In the summertime, you will find them at the lake or golfing and camping while the winters are spent skiing and snowmobiling. As the owner of Victoria Avenue Dental, Brett welcomes new patients to his practice and is excited to get to know you.
DR. SCOTT MACLEAN
Dr. MacLean grew up in a small town outside of Edmonton, Alberta, which is where he attended the University of Alberta to obtain his dental degree. After graduation, he continued his education at the university, completing the Dental Residency Program to further develop his skills as a rural dentist. He then started a family dental practice in Edson, Alberta, where he raised his family and supported the local community. His love of outdoor activities, which includes skiing, camping, snowmobiling, fishing and hunting, directed him to the community of Cranbrook, which he now calls home. Scott enjoys practising family dentistry at Victoria Avenue Dental.
DR. TRISLYN HERRICK
Dr. Herrick has been a Saskatchewanian all her life, until recently. She grew up in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, and lived in Saskatoon where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and her Doctorate degree in Dental Medicine. When the mountains called, Trislyn and her husband, Daniel, moved out to Cranbrook in June 2017. She’s been on the team at Victoria Avenue Dental ever since. Trislyn enjoys the science and art of dentistry. She thrives on positive interaction with patients and aims to make a dental visit a great experience for everyone involved.
Trislyn and Daniel have been married since July 2015 and they like to live an active and busy life. When Trislyn is not at the clinic, she and Daniel take full advantage of what Cranbrook has to offer. They enjoy skiing, hiking, playing ball and attending Kootenay ICE games. They love travelling, whether it be a road trip to see family or a weekend getaway. Trislyn and Daniel also have a new puppy in their household.
